Colossians 3:1-15

When sharing about God, relationships with people make a difference more than debating with them.

Today’s culture has become much more aggressive than it used to be (driving, politics, sports).

Sometimes we don’t respond well.

Have mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience.

Verse 1 says that you have been raised to a new life and should set your mind and heart on things above.

We are too earthly-minded to be heaven any good.

When was Jesus aggressive? When He turned over the tables at the tabernacle. He was righting the wrong of turning His Father’s house into a den of thieves.

Jesus was never aggressive for His own benefit.

When was Jesus gentle? When talking with the woman at the well, with the blind man who called out, with the man who asked to be saved, and to men who weren’t planning on following Him.
