Luke 1:26-37

Elizabeth is pregnant in her old age (a miracle).

Elizabeth’s husband was Zechariah, a priest.

Jesus means “God saves.”

Joseph and Mary were related to the line of David.

Abraham’s descendants produced Jesus.

Mary was from the tribe of Judah and also possibly from the Levite tribe (because she was related to Elizabeth).

All the promises that were made long ago came to pass.

What can we learn from Mary?

She is highly favored, had biblical parents, had a serious relationship with God.

How do we find favor? We believe in what He says.

Jesus is a King, but He is also a priest.

Mary was prepared for the call of service.

If God called you right now, would you be ready?

Have you prepared yourself for what God has in store for you?

We need to be ready like Mary, glad to serve Him in any way we can.
