What does it mean to climb the holy hill of God? What does look like? Why is holiness so important to God? Join us for this series about drawing closer to God and becoming more like Him.
Psalm 15:1
Do you want to go up the holy hill of God?
“Sojourn in your tabernacle” = a temporary visit.
“Live/dwell on your holy hill” = set down roots, embrace holiness in your life.
The mountain was holy because God was there.
We can be holy because of Jesus. He died for our sins.
We embrace holiness not as a way of salvation but as a lifestyle of saying “thank you” to God.
The grace of God is not a license to sin.
Hebrews 12:14–If you are living a sinful life as a Christian, you have taken your eyes off Jesus.
Micah 5:8–This is what holiness looks like. It’s not perfection.
God won’t tell you to do something you can’t do. It doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy.
We can’t do it in our own power. We rely on the Holy Spirit. We rely on the Word of God. We rely on our brothers and sisters to help us.
Get the Word of God into you–Sunday school, Christian radio, Bible studies, etc.
When you sin, be honest with God about it. Confess it to Him.
Climb the hill of holiness. Be closer to God, more like Him. God will bless you.
