Why is Faith Important?

Sunday, June 29, 2025 | Pastor Rob Vance

Faith is important for two main reasons: one, it pleases God, and two, it’s good for us. Let’s learn more about both of these.

Hebrews 11:6

Men and women can fail to follow through, but God never lets us down.

Much of our faith is in the future.

Having faith in God pleases Him.

He rewards those who seek Him.

Human relationships can be very troubling.

When we believe in Him, we get to live Jesus’ life and He died as if He lived our life.

Confessing sin is a big part of our relationship with God–there is forgiveness, grace, and love.

Faith pleases God, but it’s also good for us.

Anyone who is faithless is pretty miserable.

2 Chronicles 20:20–When God speaks, listen.

Our whole Bible is prophetic text.

You can’t have faith in people.

Our hope is not in our political leaders.

We don’t know the future, but God does.

Focus on having faith and pleasing Him; He will reward us.

Each day, try to do some good and leave the rewards to God.

Help others, encourage others, call people when they are sick, etc.

Ask God to guide you in your quest to do good for others.
