Jesus as Eternal King (Pt 2)

Sunday, April 6, 2025 | Pastor Rob Vance

In the weeks leading up to Easter, we’ll look at how Jesus is our eternal King, how He fulfills the prophecies in the Old Testament, and how He will reign forever.

Psalm 89:35-37

God will make a covenant or promise, and then strengthen it later on. He reaffirms it for our benefit.

Sometimes we doubt in the dark what God has revealed in the light.

When God makes a promise, it’s according to His holiness (2 Samuel 7).

Hebrews 6:13-20–When God made a promise to Abraham, He swore on Himself because there is no greater power.

It’s impossible for God to lie.

He makes covenants with us for our benefit.

The Jews would be persecuted, but not destroyed.

Anyone that tries to destroy the Jews is setting themselves up against God.

God repeats His promises.

Romans 8:37-39–Nothing can separate us from God’s love.

You’re not lovable because you’re good; it’s due to His faithfulness.

The word-faith movement is not true; speaking health and wealth into existence is not always within God’s plan.

Hold onto Jesus and what He does say.

If you have health and wealth, don’t be stingy.

It’s not a bad deal to go to heaven.

Ecclesiastes 3:2–There is a time… He is Lord over it all.

You’re a child of God, and He is with you every step of the way.

He loves you. He’s with you.
