Jesus as Eternal King (Pt 1)

Sunday, March 30, 2025 | Pastor Rob Vance

In the weeks leading up to Easter, we’ll look at how Jesus is our eternal King, how He fulfills the prophecies in the Old Testament, and how He will reign forever.

2 Samuel 7:8-16

Genesis 49–the scepter (kingship) will not depart from Judah.

God took David from the pasture and make him king.

David’s success was God-ordained.

Before you were saved, you were an enemy of God; you were dead in sin, belonging to the devil.

God wants to take us to greater heights also.

Any person who puts their hand in the hand of God will have greater experiences.

David’s throne was promised forever but not through Solomon.

Jeremiah 22:28-30–Jehoiachin’s sin stopped the lineage of the throne through Solomon.

Mary was connected to David through David’s son Nathan (as listed in Luke).

Ephesians 2:8-9–We are saved through faith and humbled.

What are you doing today to bring glory to God?
