God is the God of comfort. He loves us and wants to meet us in our sin and suffering. You can run to Him any time.

Isaiah 44

God is not “out to get us.”

We need His comfort every day.

God is against sin but has an amazing amount of grace. He loves sinners.

Grace = receiving something (good) undeserved.

John 4–Jesus offered everlasting water to the woman at the well.

God pours out His Spirit on those who come to Christ.

We don’t have to thirst anymore because we have His spiritual water.

When Jesus comes back, the Jews will mourn because they did not follow Him.

We no longer have to suffer because of God’s living water.

When you understand how holy God is, you realize how wretched you are and how desperate for His grace.

Ask for forgiveness daily and claim His comfort.
