What does it mean that God is the source of our lives? How does that impact the way we live and follow Him?
1 Samuel 7
If you are halfway between God and sin, you aren’t really good at either–not a good follower of God and not a good sinner.
Psalm 62:8–We need God. He is our refuge.
Sacrifices go all the way back to Genesis. Everything you give is burned up, a complete surrender.
They knew they could not have won the battle without His help.
Ebenezer: stone of help, “so far God has helped us.”
Our salvations are a memorial to Him.
God has a will, and if you go against it, He is against you.
God raised Samuel up as a judge for the people.
If God only has half of your heart, He is not satisfied with only that.
It is important that you do business with God through confession and prayer time.
How’s your thought life?
What motivates you to get out of bed every day?
When is the last time that God got you out of a jam? Reflect on this often. What is your Ebenezer?
One of our big issues is that we don’t make Him the source of our life.
There is one faith. Jesus is the final authority.
There is always hope for restoration. When you are struggling, you can still come back to God.
