If we want to be effective and bear fruit in our lives and ministries, we need to work together in unity. This doesn’t mean we agree on everything, but that we agree on the important things.
Acts 11:1-18
Mark 3:24–A kingdom divided cannot stand.
There will always be opposition in life that we have to deal with–church, family, community.
In Galatians, Paul dealt with a group of Christians who were adding to the Gospel, which is not okay.
In Acts 11, the believers were upset with Peter because he was accepting the Gentiles.
Statue “Christ of the Andes” represents peace between Chile and Argentina; Chile complained because the statue’s back was turned to them.
If someone opposes you, the best thing to do is step back without emotion and ask, “Are they right?” Ask where it is coming from.
Galatians 6:9–Don’t quit doing good when facing opposition.
Sometimes the opposition keeps us from making mistakes and can truly be a blessing.
Sometimes the opposition is wrong. Ascertain the truth.
