God oversaw all the details of Christ’s birth: from the timing to the place to the people involved. If God is in control of Christmas, then He’s in control of your life, too. And you can trust Him.

Luke 2:1-7

John 1:1–In the beginning was the Word (Jesus).

Lots of people have different ideas of what Christmas is about, but only God’s opinion matters. God the Son was born for the purpose of dying, to redeem humanity.

Sinners who deserve wrath are being offered peace.

Micah 5:2–Ancient prophecy about Bethlehem.

Proverbs 21:1–God directs kings.

Galatians 4:4-5–It was all timed out.

The earth is a big place, the Roman Empire was a big empire, but God was in control of it all.

He is in control of you and your life, too.

God knows you better than you know yourself.

He knows the number of hairs on your head and when a sparrow falls.

Hebrews 10:19–We can pray with boldness!

Through the new birth, we get to call Him “Father.”
