Why Should We Live a Wise Life?

Ecclesiastes 9:13-18

With the time we have on this earth, we can choose how to spend it. Will we live wisely or foolishly? Will we use the skills we have to bless others?

Are we going to live an unwise life or a wise life?

We ARE going to live, but how?

When we live a wise life, we are blessed by God.

Wisdom = living a skilled life.

Living unwisely leads to turmoil.

Going with the Lord leads to the best life.

2 Samuel 20:14-22 — A wise woman saves her city.

God wants us to be wise for our benefit and also for the benefit of others.

Proverbs 15:1–A gentle answer turns away wrath.

1 John 1:9–If we confess our sins, He will forgive us.

God has seen your sorrow and wants to redeem those things for you.

Seeking a wise life is a battle! We war against ourselves, the world, and spiritual powers.

Choose a blessed life, a skilled life.

Give counsel to the next person about to make a poor choice.

Do not follow your heart; the heart is wicked (Jeremiah 17:9).

Your own strength is not enough; we have to rely on God’s strength.

Seek peace because it is worth fighting for.

A wise person wants peace.

Jesus came to bring us together.
