2 Peter 1:3-11
This week, we will consider how God wants us to live a life that proclaims Jesus to all around us, but especially to those who need Him the most. We will consider this proclamation from a global world mission perspective, but also recognize that God intends for us to live such godly lives among those we interact with everyday that they will seek Him and find Him.
Do you think of yourself as promoting or proclaiming something?
Matthew 28:19-20–The Great Commission
The goal isn’t just to get to heaven; it’s to bring heaven to earth (share Him with others).
You have opportunities to proclaim to others.
Romans 10:14-15
Should we first proclaim Jesus with our words or with our lives?
The message and the messenger must match.
The way we live our lives is so important in order to share about Jesus.
Our job is to add goodness to our faith, add knowledge to our goodness, add self-control to our knowledge, add perseverance to our self-control, add godliness to perseverance, add brotherly love to godliness.
We are called to these places: Jerusalem (our local neighborhoods and community), Judea (regional missions), Samaria (places/people we don’t like), and the ends of the world (cross-cultural missions).
How do we help? Pray. Give. Go. Mobilize.
