Colossians 3:1-4

We go from dead in sin to life in Christ in an instant, but we don’t realize the fullness of our salvation until Christ appears.

Proposition: We live united with Christ NOW until we fully realize it LATER.

1. We can live united to Christ now by seeking His will. (vs. 1-2)

Set your mind on things above.

Seeking: desire it, go after it.

Colossians 1:15-20 — Description of Christ’s sufficiency.

2. We can live united with Christ now by hiding in Christ. (vs. 3)

Death comes before resurrection.

We are supposed to die to ourselves and this world.

People don’t see us; they look at us and see Christ.

John 15 — Remain with Christ. Stay attached.

3. We can live united with Christ now by hoping in Christ. (vs. 4)

Our days are numbered.

Jesus Christ is coming back and He is bringing glory untold.

Stop seeking things of this world.
