Galatians 6:7-8
We have two options: (1) sow to the flesh and reap destruction or (2) sow to the Spirit and reap eternal life.
Galatians 5:17–These options contradict each other.
Fruits of the flesh lead to brokenness, separation, discontentment, and ultimately death.
Galatians 5:22-23–Fruits of the Spirit–How do we practice these in our lives?
Biblical examples:
King David (sowed to the flesh)–He spent decades planting seeds of sin that ultimately led him to the debacle with Bathsheba.
Joseph (sowed to the Spirit)–He sowed seeds of faithfulness despite all that was done wrong to him.
You must sow it to reap it. (Billy Graham)
What you sow, you will reap. (Billy Graham)
You will reap what you sow. (Billy Graham)
Genesis 1:7–This was set in place at the very beginning.
God does step in and help us, but we still have consequences.
John 15:4–We must remain in Him to bear good fruit.
What are you sowing? What seed do you need to plant today?
