Mark 12:31

If we don’t love God, we cannot love our neighbor.

The only reason we stop to help others is because we have the love of God in our heart.

Neighbor: one who is nearby (anyone you come into contact with).

To love your neighbor as you love yourself: to want them to be happy, satisfied with life, have food, nice clothes, a place to live, protection from harm.

Leviticus 19:11-18–Live with honor.

Matthew 5:43-48–Love your enemies.

Love is more than an emotion; it is an act of will.

Mark 8:34–Deny yourself to truly follow God.

The more I love God, the more I will deny myself and love others.

We live by relationships.

1 John 4:19-21–You can’t love God and hate others.

1 John 3:14-15–To hate is to murder.

2 John 1:6–To obey is to love.
