Genesis 18-19

Worldliness causes earthly concerns to dominate us.

Worldliness causes our everyday activities to be our major focus, rather than the activities of the church.

Worldliness leads to apostasy–we walk away.

Your hunger for God wanes.

Look at your life to see if you are growing worldly.

Generosity to God becomes limited when focusing on the world.

In Genesis 18, Abraham goes above and beyond to serve the three visitors.

In Genesis 19, Lot did the bare minimum for the two angels.

Abraham’s heart is attached to the Lord. Lot’s heart is attached to his wallet.

2 Corinthians 9:6-9–Your giving reflects your heart.

When worldliness creeps in, generosity falls away.
