Proverbs 31:26-29 (NIV):

She speaks with wisdom,
    and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household
    and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children arise and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women do noble things,
    but you surpass them all.”

Woodrow Wilson instituted Mother’s Day, which upset the founder Anna Jarvis because of the commercialization of the holiday. It is celebrated in over 40 countries, but it originated in America.

Moms in the Bible:

Jochebed (Moses’ mother)
Mary (mother of Jesus)
Hannah (mother of Samuel)

Women of faith are not without their troubles and sorrows. But women of faith know what to do.

Mothers come in different shapes, sizes, temperaments, attitudes, etc. It’s difficult to measure up to the Proverbs 31 woman.

Moms are not perfect, but they are perfect for their families.

God places a high value on the role of being a mother.

Motherhood is a blessing (Psalm 127:3). Children are a blessing, not a burden.

Motherhood is ordained by God (Psalm 139:13). Moms have the highest calling there is.

It’s the mother’s job to spread the gospel.

The family unit is being destroyed in today’s society.
